Our story begins humbly, as a market textile merchant amid the rise of Manchester’s booming industrial textile trade. From the bustling mills and factories of the 19th century to becoming one of the UK’s leading suppliers to the interiors industry, our journey is one of determination, growth, and an unrelenting drive to adapt and innovate.
As a proudly British business, we’re grounded in care and responsibility. During WWII, we supplied Bolton Twill as a blackout to reduce visible light in windows and subsequently protected families across Britain during the Blitz. Decades later, that same spirit led us to donate thousands of metres of material for NHS scrubs during the global COVID-19 pandemic. Through every challenge, our commitment to supporting others through our products remains steadfast.
Our commitment to putting customers is at the heart of everything we do and is unwavering. Thoughtful design drives us, and we’ve carefully curated our product range with our customers in mind. Our products often serve as the foundation of any stunning window dressing, celebrating the craftsmanship, creativity, and individuality that transform them into beautiful focal points.
Today, we continue to honour our industrious heritage while evolving for the future. As we move forward, we look to deepen our roots – we’ve even sponsored a beehive as a tribute to the iconic Manchester Bee, a symbol of industry, resilience, and community.
Evans is not just about supplying window covering solutions; it’s about weaving history, care, and innovation into the very fabric of everything we do. From the past we’ve inherited to the future we create, we remain true to our Mancunian spirit—doing things differently, with heart and purpose and always with our customers in mind.
